Process control is implemented by an access control system using roles system and transactions that are individually assigned to different types of Design Data Objects (e.g., Requirement, Function,…). This allows, for example, the system breakdown structure to be frozen without preventing team members from changing the descriptions of the system elements or creating links to functions or requirements.
Access control to design data is generally controlled by a team member's membership in the team that is defined as the owner or responsible party for the respective design data. A team member can belong to multiple teams. An exception to this are action items that are assigned to individual users in RePoSyD.
In principle, users in RePoSyD have unrestricted read access to all design data. In order to edit design data, it is necessary that
